Thanks…

But I am not clear how to use this link.

Hi @zha_zha - this looks like you might have an issue with an institutional (or national) firewall blocking the connection. One way we can check - are you able to open the link in your browser? Keep us posted :qiime2:

Yes, I can open the link in your browser and www. google.com. Although I tried various methods, I don't know what caused this error.

Hi @zha_zha!

Okay, so if you can access the URL generally (for example, through your browser), then perhaps the wget command failed because of some other issue. What version of wget do you have installed? In your base conda env can you run conda list and share the results here?

Thank you very much.

Thanks @zha_zha, this looks good to me.

How about you just manually download the environment file (instead of using wget), and then follow the installation instructions outline here:

https://docs.qiime2.org/2020.2/install/native/

Thank you very much. I have downloaded the file “qiime2-2020.2-py36-osx-conda.yml.txt”, but I do n’t know how to use it in the terminal.

Please see the installation instructions that I provided above:

Once you have downloaded the file you can move it into your current working directory (wherever your terminal is open), and follow the steps beginning with conda env create -n qiime2-2020.2 ...

Keep us posted!

Thank you very much.
