MIMt database has grown and now it includes databases for other markers like ITS, 18S, 23S and 28S to the previous 16S already in use.
All the databases have two versions, one with only curated sequences from Target Loci (type material) and RefSeq and another including also all species presents in genbank.
All sequences are full length so they can be used to identify any region of the marker and they have been pre-trained for QIIME2 and the classifier is provided.
You can try them by downloading from MIMt website:
All MIMt databases are updated twice a year so they cover always all the species that are well known in the sequence databases.
