Databases for mouse and intestinal studies

Hi! Thanks for sharing on youtube this beautiful workshop!!

is there any database that can be used specifically studying mouse or human microbiota? Or studying the microbiota composition along the intestine? If yes, Do you suggest to use a so “specific” Database?

Hi @Lory,
If you are looking for published study data, I recommend checking out Qiita… it contains a large number of 16S studies, including of mouse gut data.

If by “database” you rather mean reference sequence databases that are appropriate for this data type, I think both SILVA and greengenes should be adequate for this purpose.
