Open Tree of Life in Qiime2

Dear All,
Has anyone tried Open Tree of Life database in qiime pipeline and succeed? I could not the fasta sequence to import into the qiime environment? Synthesis release v12.3 - Open Tree of Life

I downloaded the tree from the link and was able to import it into QIIME.

You specify fasta sequences, however OTOL does not include data in this format.

Maybe I am interpreting your question incorrectly. Please let me know!
