In silico primer evaluation plugin

Hello!
While we were trying to run primerprospector software for in silico primer evaluation, we faced several installation and compatibility issues and also some bugs. I was just wondering if qiime2 developers have any plan to develop a new plugin for in silico primer (16S, 18S, ITS…) evaluation. Considering there are only a few such tools available currently, I believe a new plugin would definitely be an important addition to the list of qiime2 plugins. Moreover, it would be much easier for microbiome researchers to use a tool that is wrapped in qiime2. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for the suggestion, @bsen2018. Yes, there has been some discussion of eventually adding a primerprospector-like plugin in QIIME 2, but I do not have an ETA for when this will be complete.
