Importing fastq Sanger sequences

I read this previous post that relates to my question:

I have extracted the 16S rRNA from single cultured bacteria and then performed Sanger sequencing for identification purposes (Ihad both forward and reverse sequences for each one.). Therefore, I had ab1 files. After following the suggestion made by @Nicholas_Bokulich in a past question, I have converted the ab1 files to fastq using tracy in a conda environment. I converted sff files to fastq Sanger. I was going to import the files into qiime2 using a manifest file. Since the sff files that I converted from has the whole amplicon i assume I should use the SingleEndFastqManifestPhred33V2. Does that sound right?

Yes, that sounds like a good fit for Sanger! Try that and let us know how it goes.
