dear team,
i have an issue , idid ITS seq for the fungi in a sand samples, i analyzed by using united database and i got the majority is unidentified, how can i know if i did a mistake or the fungi in the samples are new?

I did try again with the eukaryotes UNITE database. Well it is true that all those bastards are plant contamination. Thank you @Nicholas_Bokulich @Adam_Rivers

Well now can I have some advice of how to avoid this situation. How to lower the chance of amplifying plant DNA? Is it all crucial in the library prep step?

Thanks for your input. Sorry for taking so long to answer but I tried to do the same on two computers (RAM problems) because I couldn't use qiime feature-classifier classify-sklear on my daily computer (naive-bayes I can't use it on any of them but on the forum I saw some classifiers so... no problem).
The file named heimer corresponded to the original database, I just gave it a geeky name for short, sorry for not changing it in the post
