Error: QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display

My university just downloaded qiime 2 to their hpc system. I am trying the following command:

qiime demux summarize --i-data demux.qza --o-visualization demux.qzv --verbose

And keep getting the following error:

QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display
Aborted

Can anyone help?
