Difference between Vsearch and naive_bayes classifier

Hi all,
I was in dilemma to put the question in general or user section then I chose here. Anyway sorry!

I need to know what is the difference between Vsearch and naive_bayes classifiers.

As you know, Vsearch has three inputs which they are required (two references and our reads) while naive_bayes classifier needs two required inputs (two reference). What is classified in naive_bayes classifier?
In other words, how naive_bayes classifier classifies without our biological reads? And when can we use this classifier in our analysis?
