Would it be possible to add a “collapse to other” flag on the taxonomy plots and a depth? Like, collapse the plot to the top 8 or 12 most abundant taxa?
Hi @jwdebelius! We don’t currently support this but have an open issue tracking the feature. We would be happy to have you contribute this feature but we are planning on an overhaul of the visualizers in QIIME 2 within the next couple of releases, in order to support things like cross-filtering (which may impact this filtering feature you’re proposing).
A workaround for now is to filter your FeatureTable[Frequency] using feature-table filter-features and then passing the filtered table to taxa barplot.
