Best analysis to do after CCA?

Hello everyone,

What is the best statistical analysis to continue after a Canonical Correspondence Analysis? I have carried a CCA , and found significant effect of Temperature (a continuous, numerical variable) on the bacterial community found in these samples. Now that I know that temperature has a significant effect on the bacterial community, I would like to analyze it in isolation and see which ASVs exactly are significantly affected, and how, by temperature, but I can't seem to find a proper statistical test that will let me test the effect of one numerical independent variable on several dependent proportion variables. Maybe there is something I can do with the CCA scores?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Hi @PabloCL,

I am not personally familiar with CCA scores, however, I do not believe there is a way to use them in QIIME2 directly at this time. We will take your interest in this into account for future development!
We do have a workflow for longitudinal data that you may be interested in! check out the linear-mixed-effect-models
