The program 'qiime' is currently not installed.

Hi everyone,
I installed qiime2 in my new desktop and was trying to do analysis.
However, when I am trying to run qiime tools import command it is giving me error that "qiime is not installed". Please see below. It appears using print_qiime_config.py command that qiime is installed properly. I tried other solutions suggested in forum but I am not able to fix it. Can somebody please give a suggestion on how to fix this? thank you. Regards.

qiime@qiime-190-virtual-box:~$ qiime tools import \

--type 'SampleData[PairedEndSequencesWithQuality]'
--input-path manifest_file.tsv

Hello @Sky23. This all looks like it’s referring to Qiime not Qiime2. I notice it says you’re using a virtual box. Are you using a prepackaged virtual box, or did you create your own and install Qiime on it? If you are using a prepackaged one, can you link to it?

I am using a prepacked virutal box from oracle. please see the link below.

How did you install Qiime2 on the virtualbox?

I used 3 links mentioned below for installation. Please check them.

I used these tutorials for installing qiime2 in my laptop and it works fine.
However, when i followed the same tutorials for installing qiime in my desktop it is not working.
Please give suggestion on how to do a proper installation.

Those are unofficial videos giving instructions on how to install the original QIIME. This page discusses how to install QIIME 2 using VirtualBox https://docs.qiime2.org/2020.2/install/virtual/virtualbox/. Please use these instructions and create a new thread if you run into issues with them. Thank you!
