Specs to run Qiime2

Hello. I am a Highschool student in a science research class and was wondering if my computer could run Qiime2.

I have an m2 macbook air with 16 gb of memory/ram.

Welcome to the :qiime2: forum!

You should certainly be able to run QIIME 2 on your computer :slightly_smiling_face:

Here is a link to our documentation with installation instructions, just make sure you follow the guidelines for installing QIIME 2 on MacOS (Apple Silicon). You'll most likely need to install Miniconda for this unless you've already installed it on your machine - and the instructions for doing that can also be found in our install guide above.
