QIIME 2 can only run from within the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), not Windows itself. Follow the instructions as outlined here.

Hi @GeorgA, welcome to :qiime2: The error is due to the fact that you are trying install QIIME 2 through your Windows 10 Command Prompt, and not the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
