Same q-values in alpha diversity test using Shannon diversity index.

My output here seems weird to me. After running the Shannon diversity command for alpha group significance, i encountered similar q-values. As i had read in other posts, it was recommended to always use q-values as basis for reports. Is there anything you think might have gone wrong? anyone with similar situation? Please take a look at the Faith_pd and Shannon

Thank You.

Hello Solo,

The q-value is just the p-value after correction for multiple testing. This correction is important, which is why it's recommended to report this value instead of the uncorrected p-value.

Kruskal-Wallis is a test of ranks, so even if the values are different from Shannon and Faith PD, if the ranks are the same then the result of the test would be the same. It's a little surprising, but not impossible!
