Running q2galaxy

Hi
I am uploading data in q2galaxy. It shows the list of data files but it says waiting for server to resume. Eventually it fails to upload the data.

I thought it was a VM size issue, I increased it to 120GB but I still have the same problem.
Any help is appreciated.
thank you

Hi @nietof

I have checked the server statuses: All Galaxy Servers and they all appear to be operational.

Can you upload one file here and I will check if I encounter a similar problem?

As you have mentioned you’re running this through a VM, I’d suggest some of the following:

  1. Check network configuration within your VM.

  2. Test outside your VM to see if the problem persists.

  3. Run a resource check via terminal (e.g., htop) to see if your resources are being maxed.

Hope this helps!

Hi Mike_Stevenson
I tried again early in the morning and it uploaded the files. But I have a separate question, I have set up the docker package with my docker account on a different laptop, it runs fine but when I try to log in to q2galaxy to use my data using my username and password it keeps telling me that I am not a registered user. I made sure I tried the same thing in the laptop I first set up the docker container for q2galaxy and I can log in just fine.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks
Fernando

Hi @nietof

Each time you set up galaxy via docker on a new computer/laptop, it is a local instance and therefore does not use information contained on galaxy web servers.

The web and your local versions are independent and do not share user databases. I’m afraid you’ll have to register a new username on that new laptop.

There is a way to link the public server to your local setup but I do not know how this is done, I’m afraid.

Best of luck!
