Rescript from UNITE

Using qiime rescript get-unite-data allows the download of different UNITE reference versions, including the latest v.9.0.
According to the UNITE Resources web page, there are currently two datasets labelled as '9.0', one from October 2022, the other from July 2023. Since the no. of sequences in each dataset differs between these release dates, how does the get-unite-data handle these releases? Does it download the latest release available, or is it fixed to a particular release?

You can see the DOIs in the code here. RESCRIPt will pull from the latest release of each version.
