I'm encountering an issue a previous user had experienced (Qiime taxa barplot only shows level 1 - #9 by thermokarst) where only Level 1 is showing up in the dropdown menu of my taxa barplot. I don't encounter any errors when trying to create the plot or other artifacts, and I don't seem to be having the primer/classifier errors that other user had.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting.
It looks as though you are importing data from elsewhere into Qiime2 that does not follow the expected formatting.
For example, have a look at the taxonomy file from the "Moving Pictures" tutorial and compare that to taxonomy.qzv (2.1 MB) . You can see that your taxonomy file has 6 columns for taxonomy whereas the taxa bar plot is only expecting 1, in the format like k__Bacteria; p__Proteobacteria; c__Alphaproteobacteria; o__Rickettsiales; f__mitochondria.
You'll need to reformat your taxonomy file to be plug n play with taxa barplots
