Is it beneficial to switch to the newest release of qiime2 versions upon announcement?
If i have qiime2.2017.10 installed on our server, then how can i upgrade my old version to the newest one qiime2.2017-11?

Hi @sajjad.sarikhan,
Each time a new version is released, it is recommended that you install that new version. Aside from all the new features the new version contains, there may be bug fixes, etc, to make sure everything is running smoothly. Perhaps most importantly, all support on this forum is provided only to the most recent release.
The same concerns apply to the virtualbox version.
You can install the most recent version as described in the installation instructions.
