Qiime gneiss assign-ids

Sorry @mortonjt but I have yet another question about gneiss!

Would you mind going over the purpose of the command qiime gneiss assign-ids? When and why would you apply it? It's not mentioned in the gneiss tutorial ... From looking at the plugin pages, I'm guessing you would use it after clustering and before the ILR transform and regression?

Hi @Matilda_H-D, the assign-ids command is available just in case one would like to pass in a Phylogeny[Rooted] Artifact to enable the use of phylogenetic trees. This is so that one can incorporate the use of phylogenetic trees without having to perform clustering.
