The Cope and Caporaso Labs at NAU are hiring a postdoctoral scholar who will be co-mentored by Drs. Emily Cope and Greg Caporaso. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with microbiome data analysis (marker gene and metagenome), will have experience performing lab work in support of microbiome studies, and will have excellent writing and communication skills. Projects will be focused around the gut-brain axis, including relationships between the gut microbiome and Alzheimer's disease.

This position will be in-person, and based in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona. Come study microbiomes, and spend the morning mountain biking in Sedona, the afternoon skiing at Arizona Snowbowl (which got >350 inches of snow so far this season), and the next day hiking the Grand Canyon which is just one short hour away!
