Possible to do full QIIME 2 analysis using the Artifact API?

The Artifact API tutorial assumes one has already created a feature table Artifact using the command-line interface. Is it possible to do a full QIIME 2 analysis (including demultiplexing, OTU/ASV picking, etc.) using only Python commands and the Artifact API?
