Hi All,
I'm going to be teaching an online short course on microbiome analysis June 15 - June 29 through the Johns Hopkins Summer Institute.
The course is mostly focused on theory and you'll learn things like
- Why you would pick16S or metagenomic sequencing for a project
- How to combine metagenomic or 16S data from multiple data sets and why one method is better than another
- What different alpha and beta diversity metrics tell you about your microbial community
- Different types of differential abundance tests and how to account for compositional data
We'll also talk about tools for reproducible research like
.
If you're interested in more details, you can check out the course description here.
If you're interested in applying, information is here. The Summer Institute does charge tutition for the course hours.
Woudl love to see anyone interested in June!
Best,
