I'm hiring a Bioinformatics Engineer at Gutz Technologies to lead downstream analysis of pediatric microbiome multi-omics data. We're part of Wellcome LEAP's $50M FORM program — 17,000 children across 7+ international cohorts, with longitudinal metagenomics, metabolomics, and clinical outcomes data.
Our upstream processing pipelines are in good shape. What we need is someone to own the downstream layer: fitting statistical and AI models, incorporating biological priors, and interpreting high-dimensional outputs in a way that's meaningful for a clinical audience. Strong software engineering background is important — this work needs to be reproducible and maintainable, not one-off notebook analyses.
Ideal background: computational biology, biostatistics, or similar, with production-grade modeling experience. Familiarity with compositional data and longitudinal methods is a plus.
