Installing Qiime2 in RHEL

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed QIIME2 in RHEL. The institution I work for does not allow use of Ubuntu (security reasons) and we are only allowed to install tools on Red hat linux version 6 and 7. If anyone has prior experience and feedback to share about this topic, I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Fatemeh

Hi @maloos18,

I haven’t done this personally, but RedHat 6 and 7 have relatively modern glibc versions, so you shouldn’t have any issues going with a typical conda installation.

RedHat 5 should also work, but I would be far less surprised if it did not as it does have a much older (and slightly incompatible) glibc, so some of the tools may have not been compiled in a compatible way.
