Here is detailed tutorial regarding metadata in Qiime2. It also includes validation of the metadata file via Google spreadsheet plugin (Keemei).
So, just copy the content of your metadata file in Google spreadsheet, add Keemei plugin, validate and download as tab-separated values (.tsv).
