Hi there. I’m turning to a new MacPro. Is it necessary to uninstall the QIIME2 on my old Macbook? It is running quite slow for normal use (Word/Excel/Emails…). How to uninstall QIIME2 if necessary? Many thanks.

Not from our perspective, but you should check with your institutional IT support, if applicable.
If you installed QIIME 2 natively, you can just remove the conda environment:
conda env remove -n qiime2-2018.2
(update that command to match the version of QIIME 2 you have installed).
If it is a VirtualBox installation, you can just delete the VM files via Virtualbox.
