Hi! I am trying to install QIIME2 2021.11 as I want to use q2-picrust2 2021.11.
I followed the instructions on this website to install QIIME on Ubuntu Linux, but I encountered many conflicts and was not able to create the env. Can you tell me how to resolve this issue and successfully install 2021.11?
On the other hand, I was able to install the latest version of QIIME2, 2022.11, using the same method.
The conda version is 22.11.1.
Thanks.
Hello @tecton and welcome to :qiime2:!
From what I remember (this was around a year ago) there is a problem that picrust2 and QIIME2 depend on the same packages, but aren't updated simultaneously.
The easiest solution I found at a time is to use a separate environment and run PICRUSt2 outside of Q2, and then to import the results. The details are explained in the docs: Installation · picrust/picrust2 Wiki · GitHub
Also, please pay attention to the environment using PICRUSt2, wrong env might render prediction results invalid.
Cheers

Thanks for your advice!
I'll try standalone PICRUSt2.
