Chao1_ci problem

Hi!

I’m trying to calculate Chao1 confidence interval. I got the chao1_ci.qza file, but when I trying to get chao1_ci.qzv file, with this command “qiime metadata tabulate --m-input-file chao1_ci.qza --o-visualization chao1_ci.qzv” it gives an error message

"There was an issue with viewing the artifact chao1_ci.qza as QIIME 2 Metadata:

Unable to parse string “(78, 78.0)” at position 0"

What does it mean?

Hey there @Life!

It means that q2-metadata is broken, and doesn't know what to do with this Artifact.

I have opened a bug report:

In the meantime, you can export this Artifact and view it manually.

Hey there @Life - I just tried to reproduce this using QIIME 2 2018.11 and I am able to generate this tabulation just fine — can you try this again using the latest QIIME 2? Can you let us know what version of QIIME 2 you were running when you did this a few weeks ago? If this is still a problem can you please send chao1_ci.qza our way to look at? Thanks! :t_rex:

Hi! I'm using q2cli version 2018.4.0. qza file attached. chao1ci.qza (11.5 KB)

We fixed some issues in metadata tabulate since 2018.4 — this QZA works just fine using 2018.11. Give it a whirl! :tornado:
