Here is the thing, I want to replace my laptop to run qiime2. I would like to know which machine with 13980hx or 7940hx configuration is better for running qiime2
Both of these processors will run Qiime2 fine.
My primary Windows machine for Qiime2 is a desktop with a 5700G (yes, really)
RAM/memory is the biggest limitation for most Qiime scripts. I have 16 GB and I'm considering upgrading to more.

Ahh,yes, RAM is badly needed, I have 40G RAM but sometimes it's not enough.

I also use university HPC and the commercial cloud when I need more RAM.
Qiime2 is cross platform and interoperable, so all these options work across scales.
