What is the next step after DADA2? is it building a tree? or (blast clasifier and metdata tabulate)

Hi. I follow two tutorials. one of them goes directly to building a tree working with mafft program and the other does intermediate steps as blast classifier and metadata tabulate. I prefer the simple steps as I am now practicing. Also, my reference sequences are from HOMD. Regards

You can do these two steps in either order, because the results are independant. This is a ‘branching’ path of your analysis.

                     /--> build tree
import --> denoise-> |
                     \--> classify taxonomy

Classify your reads using the SILVA database, the try HOMD as an alternative database. :+1:
