# Taxa bar plot - empty phylum

Hello all,

I have a question about my taxa bar plot: Why do I have a group that has no phylum when I select level 2 for taxonomic level? The other groups are ascomycota, basidiomycota, etc and an unidentified phylum which is fine, however one group is just named "k\_\_Fungi;\_\_"

Any ideas as to why this happened and why this was not grouped with unidentified?

If it's any help, I trained my own classifier using the UNITE dynamic reference file (version 8.0, Nov. 18, 2018) by following the moving pictures tutorial.

This [link](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/asv-collaps-question/11764) may be useful for this question. In short, this simply means that the classifier was not able to distinguish this group beyond the phylum level.
