Hi all,

What q2 command is required to split a feature table (i.e., the q1 equivalent for “split_otu_table.py”) by a piece of metadata (e.g., time)?

I came across ‘qiime sample-classifier split-table’ but this generated a hypothetical sample table, and not a split of the real data.

Many thanks,
Tyler

PS - so sorry… mistakenly withdrew previous inquiry.

see qiime feature-table filter-samples. You will need to run N times, where N = the number of new tables you want to produce (N groups in your metadata).

Definitely not what you want; that generates a random split.
