I am brand new to QIIME and have been given excellent feedback on the tutorials provided. The only problem is, none of the files I need to download to run the tutorials are available. When I click the links (ie. "All the files you will need for this tutorial are here (ftp://thebeast.colorado.edu/pub/QIIME-v1.5.0-dependencies/qiime_tutorial-v1.5.0.zip)") I am sent to an error page that says the IP address is not valid. This has been the case on multiple browsers. Any advice on this? I'd love to be able to do the tutorials!
I have recategorized your topic to “other bioinformatics tools” because it looks like you are looking at QIIME 1 tutorials. QIIME 1 has been officially phased out since 2018, and the tutorial you are looking at is for a very old version of qiime1 so it is not surprising that the links are broken.
Since you are new to QIIME, I recommend learning QIIME 2 instead — please see qiime2.org for instructions, tutorials, and all the info you need to get started. Good luck!
