Hello, I am in the process of installing a virtual box version of QIIME 2. Having downloaded the file and executing it into VB I am unable to proceed with initiating the machine. Is this a memory issue ? My PC has 16gb RAM and I allocated 8 GB. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi @bharathbiome: 8 GB of RAM should be more than enough. Have you tried running another VM in virtualbox (just to confirm that it isn’t related to your installation of virtualbox)? Also, if you are running Docker on your machine, there are reports of not being able to use virtualbox simultaneously with Docker. My only other thought is that your download might be corrupt. The md5sum of the virtualbox zip file is:
bb8f4210605896d3dc3e94d2b29a8db0
You can confirm this by running something like: md5 "QIIME 2 Core - 2.0.6 (1479486933).zip"
Hi Matt, Thanks for the reply. I am already running QIIME 1.9.0 using VB on my machine but will certainly double check my download. It got paused and restarted in between so maybe that was a reason.

Also, I am not using Docker on my machine.
