q2galaxy import error

I am attempting to import paired-end files containing 16S rRNA sequences to q2galaxy using the qiime2 tools import function with the SampleData[SequencesWithQuality], [CasavaOneEightSingleLanePerSampleDirectoryFormat] parameters. Unfortunately, I encountered an error: "'TreeDict' object has no attribute 'is_collection'". Can someone assist me with this?

Hello @Lukasz, can you please post screenshots of the exact command you ran and the exact error you received here? Thank you.

This appears to be an issue that was recently brought to our attention here on github. We are currently working on figuring out exactly what the issue is and how to fix it, but there is currently no work around.

So is there another way to import forward and reverse files to QIIME2?

Your best bet would be to import the files into a .qza via an interface that isn't galaxy and then upload the .qza to galaxy. I'm currently trying to reproduce this issue and come up with a way to get things imported in galaxy, but q2galaxy currently isn't working for me through https://cancer.usegalaxy.org/ because the 3rd party website it uses to install QIIME 2 is seemingly having some issues.

Helo @Lukasz, sorry for the delayed responses, I was out of office. I was unable to reproduce this issue with the tutorial data. Would it be possible for you to send me the data you are attempting to import if you are still having this issue? Thank you.
