Plugin error from deblur with 2018.6

Hello, I cannot get over the error (see attached log files, one with "--p-jobs-to-start 1" the other with "--p-jobs-to-start 12").

The previous commands were:
qiime tools import
--input-path Manifest-BF1u2-Bact-pe-test.csv
--output-path 1_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all.qza
--type SampleData[PairedEndSequencesWithQuality]
--source-format PairedEndFastqManifestPhred33

qiime demux summarize
--i-data 1_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all.qza
--o-visualization 1_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all.qzv

qiime quality-filter q-score
--i-demux 1_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all.qza
--o-filtered-sequences 2a_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all_deblur-filtered.qza
--o-filter-stats 2a_BF1u2-Bac-pe-test-all_deblur-filter-stats.qza

Does anybody have an idea what might be wrong?

Thanks for posting your full commands and log files. Did you look through the log files for errors? I think I found the error that’s causing the problem in the first log file:

ValueError: Not all sequence have the same length. Aligned lengths: 472, sequence lengths: 272, 273, 274, 275, 276, 277, 278, 279

So once your reads are the same length, deblur should work fine.

P.S. Running qiime deblur denoise-16S --p-trim-length 272 ... is one way to trim your reads, but there might be better ways too.
