Hi @oluwatobi,
I would suggest [searching the forum](https://forum.qiime2.org/search?q=low%20output%20after%20chimeric%20filtering%20%20order%3Alatest) for different ways other users have dealt with low chimeric output. Considering the low quality of your reverse reads, that should be taken into account when adjusting any parameters. [This post](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/trimming-the-first-5-low-er-quality-bases-from-forward-and-reverse-reads-results-in-25-more-sequences-removed-as-chimeras/13768/2) has some helpful tips on dealing with low output after chimeric filtering.
