# I want to import known sequences from a database to compare to qiime2 features

How do I compare known sequences to those run through dada2 or deblur?

Hi @Barbara_Campbell,  
Welcome to the :qiime2: forum!  
There are several options. I would recommend looking through our [tutorials](https://docs.qiime2.org/2024.10/tutorials/) in our user documentation.  
You could use one of the tutorials as a template for your analysis and compare the outputs using the known sequences to the outputs after running through dada2 and deblur.  
[NCBI BLAST](https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi) tool could be useful if you want to compare the ASVs generated from dada2/deblur against the database.  
If you need help during your analysis feel free to post here again, we are happy to help. I also recommend [searching the forum](https://forum.qiime2.org/search) for useful bread crumbs left by previous users, this is often a fastest way to get answers.
