You certainly can!

Fortunately, with the help of the [RESCRIPt plugin](https://github.com/bokulich-lab/RESCRIPt), you can follow allong with this [tutorial](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/using-rescript-to-compile-sequence-databases-and-taxonomy-classifiers-from-ncbi-genbank/15947). Which makes use of the SSU data available from [NCBI RefSeq Target Loci](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/refseq/targetedloci/).
