Hello, just made the switch from Qiime 1 today and getting the hang of things. One feature that seems to be lacking is the ability to easily convert feature tables into biom or text files for use outside of Qiime. While I was able to ask around and figure out how to access the biom version, I foresee new users becoming frustrated by this.
Hi @vrbana! You can extract the underlying data from a .qza file with qiime tools export. For the reasoning behind why we’re using .qza files instead of the data files directly, check out these docs.
