I've been having some issues with assigning taxonomy to some COI data so when I saw the eKOI preprint I rushed to convert it to be useable in qiime2. It didn't solve my issues but thought I'd share in case anyone wanted to try it out.

[eKOI github](https://github.com/rubenmiguens/eKOI_taxonomy_database) | [eKOI preprint](https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2024.12.05.626972v1)

[Here is the link to files](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qZLMjb7wKHfQTzduXyrEsFsHY2f6oMVs?usp=drive_link) in the appropriate format, including the excel file used to take the fasta file database provided in the github to the two required taxonomy files, as well as a .sh file which is how they were trained.

I hope this is helpful to someone!
