Hi @jessicalmetcalf! You can use the new [`q2-vsearch`](https://docs.qiime2.org/2017.9/plugins/available/vsearch/) method [`dereplicate-sequences`](https://docs.qiime2.org/2017.9/plugins/available/vsearch/dereplicate-sequences/) to convert your `seqs.fna` file to a `FeatureTable[Frequency]` and `FeatureData[Sequence]`! Check out @gregcaporaso's [draft community tutorial on `q2-vsearch`](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/draft-clustering-sequences-into-otus-using-q2-vsearch/1348), in particular, the section titled "Dereplicating a SampleData[Sequences] artifact."

Once you have those two new artifacts, you could either perform OTU clustering (see the rest of that draft tutorial), or continue on with [generating summaries](https://docs.qiime2.org/2017.9/tutorials/moving-pictures/#featuretable-and-featuredata-summaries).

Hope that helps!
