Hi guys!

I wanted to create a 16S rRNA library of the V1 to the V9 regions. However, I wasn't completely sure that I could classify taxonomically those sequences after the library preparation. I have seen different questions about sequencing V1-V9 so I am guessing that it is possible but, is there any manuals of how to do it?

Thanks in advance

Hi @sgalera,

The short answer is, yes!

There are a couple of ways by which you can classify any region of your 16S rRNA gene library:

1. [Greengenes 2](https://github.com/biocore/q2-greengenes2/)
  - [tutorial](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/introducing-greengenes2-2022-10/25291/)

2. [RESCRIPt](https://github.com/bokulich-lab/RESCRIPt)
