# Degenerate Primer

Hello everyone,
Can anyone help me to remove degenerate primer from my fastq raw data files? My primers are given below
341 F: 5’ CCTACGGGAGGCAGCAG 3’
806 R: 5' GGACTACHVGGGTWTCTAAT 3’
looking for your help.

You can use [trim-paired](https://docs.qiime2.org/2018.6/plugins/available/cutadapt/trim-paired/) and follow the instructions in [this tutorial](https://forum.qiime2.org/t/demultiplexing-and-trimming-adapters-from-reads-with-q2-cutadapt/2313) (which shows the protocol for single-end reads, but should give you an idea how to use trim-paired).
