# Confusion on selecting the Truncation length and Quality Score for Denoising

@ChrisKeefe I had taken the samples from LogMPIE. I have attached the [link](https://www.nature.com/articles/sdata2018232) for the paper here. It is 16s V3 - V4 regions

Looks like you're working with IonTorrent data, @Sreevatshan, so you probably want [`denoise-pyro`](https://docs.qiime2.org/2020.8/plugins/available/dada2/denoise-pyro/) instead of `denoise-single`.

I haven't done any work with IonTorrent personally, but there are some _great_ threads on this forum discussing challenges and strategies.
