bracketed RESCRIPt sequence names

Hej all,

I’m working with some RESCRIPt downloaded sequences from Silva 128. My goal is to download and curate them so they ultimately align with the silva 128 SEPP insertion tree. It may be incorrect, but I’m finding sequence ids with brackets around them, for example [AB008206.1.1556]. I know in taxonomy [taxa] means the level is contested. What does the bracket on the silva sequence mean? Is it introduced by RESCRIPt or a part of Silva I’ve never noticed before.

Thanks so much!

As an update on this and for future people wondering… I screwed up a python list comprehension and the names weren’t bracketed, they were lists. RESCRIPt does not appear to bracket the names.
